Alvin L. Lindsay

Age 91, of Castile, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2021.

Alvin was born May 21, 1930 to the late Floyd and Onalee Lindsay, he was a lifelong resident of Castile. He grew up on and operated the family farm on West Center Road. Alvin was a member of the Farm Bureau and served on the board of directors.
He was an original member of the Wallace-Jeffers Drum Corps in Castile and enjoyed attending competitions throughout his life. After getting out of farming, Alvin worked for Letchworth State Park in the maintenance department until his retirement in 1997.

Along with his parents, Alvin is preceded in death by his wife, Lula Campbell Lindsay, whom he married on November 10, 1956. He is also preceded in death by brother-in-law, Ernest Haskins.

He is survived by sister, Hilda (late Ernest) Haskins of Leroy; son, Michael of Castile; daughter, Teresa (Butch Durfee) of Castile; grandchildren, Adrianna (Dillon) Holley of Freedom, Dakota (Emaleigh) Odell of Homer, Haili (Jay Armstrong) Sonnleitner of Leroy; great grandson, Logan Holley of Freedom; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends may call Wednesday, October 20th from 12-3 PM at Robinson And Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where Alvin’s funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 3 PM. Private burial will be in Grace Cemetery, Castile.
