Alberta Jean Howard

Age 94, of Perry, passed away on June 11, 2022 at Wyoming Co. Community Hospital in Warsaw.

Jean was born April 10, 1928 in Gainesville, NY, daughter of the late Samuel and Lucille Shoemaker Sharman. She worked at Champion Products in Perry for many years, retiring in 1990, but Jean might have been most known for babysitting many children in Perry. She enjoyed baking, sewing and crossword puzzles but loved spending time with her family most of all.

Along with her parents, Jean is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Robert L. Howard; daughter, Merrilea Freeman; her sisters, Eleanor Sharman, Lucille Fisher and Mary Lange; her brothers, William Sharman, Albert Sharman, Lewis Sharman, Lyle Sharman, Samuel Sharman Jr., and Robert Sharman; her son-in-laws, Duane Hamilton, Robert Freeman and George Grimmelt, and grandson Robert Douglas Freeman.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Susan Sharman-Grimmelt of Haines City, FL, Melody (Robert) McDonald of Perry; her sons, Robert Howard of Perry, Dennis (Marsha) Howard of Rincon, GA; her brother, Richard (Donna) Sharman of Toano, VA; sister-in-laws, Betty Sharman of PA and Shirley Sharman Safford of Gainesville, NY, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
