A. Pauline (Polly) Wellman Herman Stoffer

Age 97, of Warsaw, passed away on September 17, 2023.

She was born on November 16, 1925 in Covington, NY to the late Lewis and Helen Snyder Wellman. Polly graduated from Pavilion High School in 1942. She worked at Mallory Timers Co., in Warsaw and later went on to work at the Warsaw Stationery Store for several years.

Polly was a member of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Warsaw. She had also belonged to Women of the Moose. Polly enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, and traveling.

Polly was predeceased by her first husband, Chet Herman whom she married in 1943 and passed away in 1995.  She is also predeceased by her children, John Herman and Gail Herman; stepchildren, Gary Stoffer and Susan Scriven; daughter-in-law, Kathy Herman; step son-in-law, James Faulkner; siblings, Lewis Wellman, Mary Jane Logsdon, and Arlene Easton.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Joseph Stoffer of Warsaw; children, Linda (Larry) Holmes of Warsaw, Richard (Sharon) Herman of Pavilion, Russell Herman of TN; stepchildren, Linda Faulkner of the Albany area, Karen (Joe) Luft of Cheektowaga, Paul (Wendy) Stoffer of Warsaw, David (Lesa) Stoffer of Warsaw; daughter-in-law, Janice Herman of Warsaw; step son-in-law, Brian Scriven of East Aurora; sister, Barbara Edwards of Pavilion; 31 grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren.
