Anthony Patrick Gifford

Age 51, of Silver Springs, NY passed away on February 28, 2022 at home.

He was born August 24, 1970 in Warsaw, the son of Theresa Ames Gifford. Anthony was a chef having worked at the State University of New York at Geneseo and Tops Friendly Market in Warsaw.

Anthony was very active with the Silver Springs Fire Department Auxiliary and had a keen interest in the history of Silver Springs. He had a variety of interests including comic books, classic television and movies and cooking. Anthony was also an avid Star Trek fan.

Surviving are his mother, Theresa (Wenceslao Torres) Gifford; his brothers, Toby (Laura) Gifford of Perry, Ricardo Torres of Silver Springs; niece and nephews, Adrian “Poncho” Torres, Emma Gifford, Evan Gifford and Ian Patrick Gifford; many cousins; special friend, Beth Humphrey of Geneseo and his special canine friend, Linus.

Friends may call Sunday, March 13 from 1 – 3 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where Anthony’s memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 3 PM. A celebration of Anthony’s life will be held at the Silver Springs Fire Hall, North Main Street, Silver Springs, immediately following services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Silver Springs Rescue Squad, PO Box 117, Silver Springs, NY 14550 or the National Kidney Foundation, 1344 University Ave., Suite 270, Rochester, NY 14607.
