Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, Inc. was established in 1991 at its present location at 246 North Main Street in Warsaw, NY. The funeral home is on the site of the former Doody homestead. The building incorporates parts of the old residence along with a spacious addition which includes a large chapel and an open foyer. By design, it is a step free facility and offers on site parking.
The owners are Joe Robinson and Jay Hackemer, both graduates of Warsaw Central School Class of 1974. Joe Robinson is a graduate of the State University of New York at Canton and received additional training at the State University of New York at Geneseo. Jay Hackemer is a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College and received additional training at the University of North Carolina. Each has over 30 years of experience in serving families. Joe and Jay are both active in a variety of civic activities and believe community service is a cornerstone of their philosophy.
In September of 2008, the partners purchased Harmon-Watson Funeral Home, located at 35 North Main Street in Castile, NY, from the Watson family. The facility is an historic 1837 Greek Revival home and has served the community as a funeral home since 1947 when the late Stanley Harmon founded the company. In more recent years, the firm was under the direction of the late Gerald Watson.
Commitment to service and professionalism are the guiding forces behind our funeral homes. There is nothing more important to us than the trust a family places in our ability to help guide them through a most difficult time. Our goal is to work with each family to provide the service that fits their needs with dignity and honor at a reasonable cost.
